Audi fans are already getting excited for the upcoming launch of the next-generation Audi TT-RS, slated to emerge in 2013. But we at Circle Audi would like to let those in the Long Beach area in on a little secret. The wait for innovative Audi material might not be that long. No, the automaker hasn't decided to speed up production of the next-gen TT-RS. Instead, it's offering consumers a little something new to chew on in the form of a pumped-up version of the current TT-RS.
Purportedly named the Audi TT-RS Plus, the last take on the current-gen model will be enhanced with greater power, less weight and an even sportier edge. While zooming down the highway (at a safe, law-friendly speed of course), a renovated version of the classic 2.5-liter, five-cylinder Turbo engine will pump out an additional 20-hp giving the TT-RS Plus a total output of 380-hp. The tricked-out powertrain will effortlessly propel a much lighter, 3,168-lb body.
In addition to more punch and fewer pounds, we have a pretty good feeling that the revamped Audi model will wear an exclusive, two-tone colored shell. Why do we think this? Well, if you haven't noticed, interior alterations to the TT-RS bear a strong parallel to those of the 2005 Audi TT Quattro Sport. Taking this into consideration, it's not a long shot to imagine that similarities will extend to the exterior as well.
Though Audi has not yet pinned down exact production plans for the TT-RS Plus, you can be sure that Circle Audi will share any new information as it comes in. Aside from updates, we are also dedicated to supplying you with all the latest new Audi inventory. And as always, we invite you to stop by 1919 North Lakewood Boulevard Long Beach, CA 90815 and test drive any model you'd like.
