Already a fan of the 2012 Audi A3? If so, then your automotive life is about to get even better. Not only has Audi announced its revamped 2013 A3 sedan will arrive at dealers like Circle Audi early next year, but the automaker is offering up a new range of options for the model as well.
Improving upon fuel economy and horsepower, our fellow Audi fans overseas will be able to choose a new 1.6-liter turbodiesel engine that lowers carbon dioxide output to around 99 g/km. While U.S. enthusiasts won't see this particular European option, Audi does say it will bring us an updated variant of the existing 2.0-liter TDI diesel complete with a revised cylinder head and new fuel injection system.
Now, Circle Audi knows what you might be thinking. Why bother with any diesel option for American consumers at all? Contrary to what some consumers might think, the alternate fuel actually holds hefty weight within our market...especially when it's powering a fantastic new Audi vehicle such as the A3. In fact, records show that in 2011, 55-percent of U.S.-sold Audi A3 vehicles were diesel variants.
On top of diesel, Audi also adds compressed natural gas (CNG) and hybrid. Yes. That's right. The Audi A3 will serve as the "jack of all trades" for the alternative fuel world. Unlike whoever inspired the famous adage however, the Audi A3 will master each fuel system it takes on.
